Las Becas de Maestría en IA de Google DeepMind 2026 hacen parte de una alianza estratégica entre CinfonIA y Google DeepMind, orientada a hacer la Inteligencia Artificial más accesible para la próxima generación. Esta colaboración posiciona a la Universidad de los Andes entre un selecto grupo de prestigiosas instituciones académicas asociadas con Google DeepMind, líder mundial en IA. Las becas están diseñadas para apoyar a estudiantes talentosos provenientes de contextos subrepresentados y con recursos económicos limitados, permitiéndoles acceder a estudios de posgrado y construir carreras en Inteligencia Artificial.

Maestría: Cada Becario Google DeepMind 2026 recibirá apoyo financiero completo para el período académico 2026-2 a 2027-1, con el fin de cursar una maestría en un campo relacionado con la IA, con posibilidad de extender la beca para el período 2027-2 a 2028-1. La beca cubre matrícula, un estipendio para gastos de vivienda y manutención, viajes académicos y gastos de equipos incurridos durante el período de la beca. Adicionalmente, cada becario contará con un mentor de Google DeepMind, quien brindará orientación profesional y perspectivas valiosas.

Los Becarios DeepMind 2026 serán seleccionados con base en excelencia académica y experiencia en investigación en Inteligencia Artificial. Los postulantes también deben haber sido admitidos para iniciar en 2026-1 o 2026-2 en uno de los siguientes programas de Maestría de la Facultad de Ingeniería de la Universidad de los Andes, con énfasis en Aprendizaje Automático e Inteligencia Artificial:

Additionally, each scholar will be paired with a mentor from Google DeepMind, offering valuable insights and professional guidance.

Through the DeepMind Scholarships 2021 program, the company funded three talented students from underrepresented backgrounds to study in a Master of Engineering program with an emphasis on Artificial Intelligence at the Universidad de Los Andes.  With the goal of promoting diversity and academic excellence in AI, DeepMind has extended its partnership with CINFONIA until 2022 because of the success brought by the 2021 scholarships.

Manuel Ríos, a DeepMind 2021 scholar states that the idea of working with DeepMind, one of the world leaders in AI, is something that already excites him. “It’s a dream come true,” says the scholar. “I could not be more comfortable with the program, as I am sure that I will not only receive an excellent education, but also I will have the opportunity to be part of excellent research groups where I hope to be able to work on challenging and innovative projects that have a great social and academic impact”, affirms Manuel. The DeepMind 2022 scholars will need to demonstrate academic excellence and experience in AI research, they must be accepted in a Master’s program at Universidad de Los Andes with an emphasis on Artificial Intelligence certified by CINFONIA, and they must belong to a community underrepresented in this field (Latin Americans, women, ethnic minorities and/or low-income population). For two years the scholarship will pay not only for academic costs but also for conference travel (or remote conference participation) and equipment. Scholars will be able to attend educational events and important conferences on Artificial Intelligence and will have the support of a DeepMind mentor to develop their confidence and pursue their goals. The renewal of the scholarships is a step in closing the knowledge gap in underrepresented communities and a recognition of CINFONIA’s academic effort to generate knowledge and new opportunities in the region.
