Abstract

This article discusses the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for the antenatal classification of congenital heart diseases (CHD). The study analyzed obstetric ultrasound images from health centers involved in a program for the diagnosis and follow-up of patients with CHD. The AI model developed in the study showed a diagnostic performance with a sensitivity of 80%, specificity of 60%, positive predictive value of 66.7%, negative predictive value of 75%, false positive rate of 40%, and false negative rate of 20%. The findings highlight the effectiveness of AI in accurately interpreting ultrasound images for the identification of CHD.
