Monitoring and characterization of fish farming systems for the efficient and sustainable production of small producers

Collaboration with Julián Quimbayo and Eduardo Castillo from Corporación Universitaria del Huila
Collaboration with Andrés Felipe Zambrano, Juan David Medina, and Darwin Dubay Rodriguez

Funded by MinCiencias

In this research project, we propose to design tools for monitoring, acquiring, and analyzing data to find new techniques and specific practices for small fish farmers. Our objective is to gradually evolve their artisanal forms of production and live transport, improving efficiency, quality, health, and environmental sustainability of their fish farming practice, in addition to designing adequate training strategies for the appropriation of these developments.
